Materials Management Lead Staff Specialist

Position Description:

  • Set up process for material receipt, inventory, distribution and storage for pending OWSS Retrofit and Repair Program (RRP)
  • Support and develop kitting process with the support of Product Capability team
  • Develop kit cart configuration
  • Establish Gex hardware kit cart supply, delivery frequency and BOM validation
  • Facilitate and provide recommendations on CSTC warehouse development
  • Coordinate with HCL warehouse as required
  • Coordinate and liaise with CFSS Techs on supply and demand requirements
  • Set up audit inventory process for material
  • Facilitate and assist in the set‐up of non‐conforming material Action Centre within CSTC warehouse
  • Coordinate with Product Assurance and Government Property Operations on all non‐conforming parts to ensure they are returned in a timely manner and documented
  • Ensure CSTC Supervision are advised of issues in a timely manner with respect to material related scope of work
  • Develop and maintain work instructions related to new processes developed for RRP
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Make decisions and recommendations that improve product flow to the end user
  • Provide leadership and guidance to execute the process, products, and policies related to safety, housekeeping and care and control of the supply chain
  • Support CSTC Planning team as required with other OWSS taskings

Required Qualifications:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in relevant discipline or 3‐5 years’ equivalent experience in a Defense supportability related field
  • Must possess or able to obtain Secret Level II Security Clearance
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and decision‐making skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products, particularly in Excel
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MRP, ERP Enterprise systems, including Oracle
  • Understanding of contract administration and project management skills
  • Goal oriented and able to work under demanding conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel (5% Canadian and 5% US & International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous supervision experience in shop floor environment
  • PMP certification
  • Knowledge of production material control processes and logistics
