Area Manager – Master Scheduling & Oracle/IT Support
Job Description
Key Job Elements
Ensure all customer requirements are met through effective Production Scheduling
Collaborate with Production Managers and Area Managers on the development of effective Production Schedules
Ensure effective communication of schedule to organization through a multitude of media
Work with Program Groups to align customer requirements to available plant capacity
Ensure accurate schedules to drive Unit Production, SCM Procurement and Engineering Milestones.
Lead, motivate and develop staff within the Master Production Schedule Team.
Ensure accurate master production schedule dates in Oracle
Support the Production department with report generation, sign-on support, general systems troubleshooting etc..
Provide IT support to Production user community through application support, troubleshooting and system training
Provide guidance to Team to ensure that all Engineering changes to manufacturing are accurate and timely
Support Internal audit and SOX testing as required.
Provide performance metrics to Senior Leadership as required.
Required Qualifications
University degree
Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience
Experience in Production and Inventory Management, schedule concepts and systems
Experience with and knowledge of Material Requirements Planning logic (MRP)
Ability to manage a multitude of complex problems simultaneously.
Experience with production capacity concepts and staffing
Ability to lead and develop Personnel.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply them.
Excellent Communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
APICS Certification in Production and Inventory management (CPIM)
Previous experience in a Production environment
Previous supervisory experience

Physical Conditions and Hazards:
Production shop floor support employees are responsible for maintaining support for touch labour and as such may spend a significant time in the production environment. Production shop floor support employees may be exposed to loud noise, dust, weld fume, paint and extreme temperatures.
Production shop floor support employees may also assist the touch labour with the movement parts equipment as requested, this may include light lifting. In addition, Production/Sustainment shop floor support employees may be required to complete various administrative tasks depending on the job function
Computer based desk work is also required throughout the day.
Production shop floor support employees may be required to work shift work which may include rotation between day, afternoon, and night shifts. Additionally, overtime may be required on an as needed basis and may include weekend work.
Physical Demands Description:

Usual mobility demands required are standing, walking, sitting, and stair climbing to access upper offices and process work envelopes some stooping, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and crouching may be required at times while assisting workers or accessing low placed items.
