Quality Programs Staff Specialist (P55)
The Quality Programs role is a position with multi-facetted opportunities to support our business objectives through ensuring product compliance to our Customer Expectations and Contractual Requirements.
Key Job Elements:
- Lead interactions with Customer Quality Representatives such as DND for response to issues and concerns
- Develop Quality Assurances Plans for unique programs and provide direction to the organization on executing quality requirements
- Develop flow down requirements for major subcontracts based on prime contract requirements
- Provide direction to Production Test Engineering for development of FIRs and Compliance Test based on prime contract requirements
- Provide recommendations to leadership for executing program quality requirements
- Provide direction for quality requirements on issue resolution in Production
- Act as the Contracts Development Lead for Product Assurance
- Develop Prime Contract Requirements in support of new business initiatives
- Support BID development with the Program Management Team
- Act as the Inter-Departmental Point of Contact for Product Assurance
- Participate in the PLP and the Program IPT as Product Assurance’s representative
- Develop and Submit Product Assurance Contract Deliverables (CDRLs) to the Program Management Team to meet related Contract requirements
- Leading First Production Vehicle Inspection and Control Test activities in Test with our Customer Representatives
- Review and Approve/Reject Change Requests and Deviations/Waivers/Variances on behalf of Product Assurance
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in an Engineering discipline
- Strong technical and analytical ability
- Product knowledge of Military/LAV family of vehicles
- High levels of written and oral communications skills, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience with standards and tools used in the production of military vehicles
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and Teamcenter / Oracle
- Meets Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined workspace
- Ability to travel (5% international) and possess/able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
- Ability to obtain or already have a Level II Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Test / Quality Engineering experience
- Experience interacting with Customers and providing responses to concerns
- Experience reviewing government contracts for execution requirements
- Previous Weld and Fabrication related training and experience AND/OR Previous Assembly related training and experience
- Experience Developing and Updating Procedures in an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- Designation as a Certified Quality Engineer
